Fifties nostalgia

Just opposite of Fette Sau but oceans apart is Spuyten Duyvil. Bar and cafe with a very streamlined fifties interior. Great wines great beers but do try the ginger soda for some additional authentic feeling.

For the pork lover

Fette Sau reminds me so much of Delicatessen. Almost creepy but still warm and cosy. Dark and yellowish with rough interiors and brusque staff. Mainly meat and only pork is served straight on the tray and tastes great. In other words it's a must.

Walking the bridges

Recommending biking as the main transport in New York I still love walking for pleasure. Last Monday me and a friend strolled Williamsburg Bridge over to LES and SoHo. Shot some absolutely amazing photos and somehow this simple one became my favourite.

Instead of waiting in line an hour for brunch at Egg - stroll a few blocks and have an amazing breakfast at Aurora. Supernice and pro staff. Truly recommend to share a Frittata and a French Toast.

Back biking in New York

Strolling New York since a few weeks it is high time for me to post again. Eightish tonight me and my golden cruiser came down south from Midtown to Lower East in the evening rain. The tiny drops on my face while quietly rolling down the street was plain beauty.
